Alright, well I finally decided to type up a FAQ for all of you. xD So let's begin!

Common Questions in General

How many characters can I have?
You may have a maximum of three characters. That doesn't mean you have to make them all right away though. If it were me, I'd wait a little bit before making my second or third. When you start to get bored with your first character, then you can make more to make things a bit more exciting.

Am I allowed to pick my character's grade?
The answer is yes. You may have either a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior. However for third characters, it must be a freshman.

Am I allowed to pick my character's rank?
It depends. If you want your character to be a Trainee then go on ahead and fill it in. However, you can not choose if your character is Elite. Basically, we created this whole Elite Trainee System to A: Make NinSeken (as in the school) look unfair. Just to add to its character. B: To give those with creative minds a bit of a reward. Here at NinSeken (as in the site), we encourage creativity!

What makes a character creative to the profile reviewers?

Well first of all, answer a few questions first. What makes your character different and stand out from the rest? Is it like a cannon? Does your profile follow the same old character story line of "my family was murdered by someone mysterious. Now he/she is trying to figure out who it is or trying to seek revenge." We understand some of you aren't as creative as you'd like to be. Just don't get too offended by staff if we give you Trainee. Trainee is nothing to be ashamed of. Heck, I have a Trainee Character.

Why aren't my characters allowed to RP in the same thread?
Basically the whole concept behind this rule is so that even more rules don't get broken. Most likely you will make one character seem stronger, not reach our 4 sentence posting minimum, or it will just become a hassle. There will possibly be some occasions where we will let you have both characters in a thread such as in a plotline thread.

What does OCC/IC mean?
OOC means out of character. IC means in character. Usually someone will say this before or after a post. IC basically means they are beginning their actual RP post. OOC/IC do not count towards the person's actual 4 sentence or plus RP post.

Small Note: Most people forget that this is sort of like in Japan. American foods such as Mac and Cheese won't suffice. There is no Hitler, Shakespeare, or blue jeans. Things such as that.

Common Questions regarding the Plotline

What's the difference between Gesshoku and Nikkou?
The Gesshoku and Nikkou are pretty much opposites from the start. The name Gesshoku means Moonlight and the name Nikkou means Sunlight. The two loathe each other, which is why brawls usually break out between the two. Gesshoku's commonly have an abrasive demeanor and Nikkou's commonly have a more gentle demeanor. However, personality's do not determine which side your character is on. You do.

I see Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors. Why no Seniors?
We made the plotline so that NinSeken was only built three years ago. This way, we can make the school last a bit longer and keep the RP moving more steadily. Of course, there will be Seniors eventually.

What's the difference between Elite and Trainee?
Generally, your character is more respected by other characters if they are an Elite. Elite's have more of an opportunity senior year when they audition for International Reconnaissance. Trainee's will be stuck being sensei's and helping around the village once they graduate. This subject comes up more in battles though. If you have an Elite Freshmen facing an Elite Trainee, who do you think has the better chance of winning? The Elite Freshmen. Of course, that doesn't mean the Trainee isn't going to win. It just means in a battle, respect the fact that your character will be a bit weaker and will get tired faster. Really though, Elite's and Trainee's aren't that even big of a deal. Don't get too caught up on it.

My village said Grass and my profile reviewer said to change it. Why is this?
In the current plotline, only the Five Great Nations exist. (Land of Fire, Land of Wind, Land of Water, Land of Lightning, Land of Earth) This means only the Five Great Shinobi Villages exist. (Leaf, Sand, Mist, Cloud, Rock) Villages such as the Rain Village, Waterfall Village, Grass Village, etc do not exist yet.

What is all this International Reconnaissance hype about?
The International Reconnaissance is a 5 Man Squad consisting of some of the most profound ninja! Originally created by the First Hokage and made strictly for the Leaf Village, he founded NinSeken just for the cause of IR. All 4 years you are at IR is a special training in hopes of being accepted into the IR. The 5 greatest trainee's will study under a certain IR member, being trained privately by that particular person.
